Barberton Reservoir
-
The Barberton Reservoir is located in Norton and Copley Township, Ohio, and is operated by Barberton Utilities
-
The reservoir was created in 1915 by daming a portion of Wolf Creek for Barber's Anna Dean farm to have a lake for it's 50,000 ducks
-
After Barber died in 1920, the city purchased the land and built a 30' high dam with a 400' long spillway
-
The reservoir went online in 1926, and in 1949 it's capacity was doubled to it's current 8 million gallons per day
-
A side stream super-saturation system has been installed to help with manganese and disinfection byproducts (DBPs)
