Los Vaqueros Dam

  • Located in Brentwood, California
  • Completed in 1998 with 100,00 acre-feet storage capacity
  • In 2012, the Contra Costa Water District made the dam 34 feet taller, and expanded storage capacity to 160,000 acre-feet
  • Surface are of 1400 acres
  • Average depth of 170 feet

  • 8,000 feet of diffuser in 2 lines
  • 4-tons/day oxygen capacity
